Joanne Tinker
Mixed Media & Miniatures

Joanne Tinker is a contemporary artist who transforms everyday debris—bottle tops, aluminum cans, and acupuncture tubes—into precious, intricate artworks. Driven by a childhood fascination with "creative hoarding" and influenced by her background in silversmithing, Tinker specialises in the repetition of multiples and miniatures.

While her materials are diverse, she is most recognised for her masterful use of chocolate foil, a medium she prizes for its delicate texture and vibrant colour. Her work has been exhibited at London’s Royal Academy and is held in permanent collections at the New York Museum of Art & Design, The White Rabbit Gallery (Sydney), and London's Science Museum. Based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, Tinker continues to elevate the discarded into the extraordinary.
