The Architecture of Tomorrow
Our residences aren’t just built to look out over the track; they are built to protect the environment around it.
- Carbon-Positive Timber: The exterior of our residences and clubhouse are outfitted with Lunawood Thermowood. This 100% certified, naturally prepared Nordic wood is a carbon-sequestering powerhouse, storing 5x as much carbon as was required to produce it.
- BREEAM 'Very Good': We have achieved a 'Very Good' rating from BREEAM, the world’s leading sustainability assessment method for the built environment, representing advanced performance such as in energy and water efficiency.
- Living Roofs: Every Countryside Residence features a green roof. These aren't just aesthetic; they improve building insulation, reduce energy consumption, and provide a vital sanctuary for local birds, bees, and insects.
Nurturing the Landscape
We are dedicated to enhancing the local ecosystem and promoting biodiversity across our site.
- A Growing Forest: As part of our commitment to a greener future, we are aiming to plan 400+ trees within the facility to enhance the local canopy.
- Smart Water Management: We utilise swales throughout the community, natural landscape features that manage water runoff sustainably while creating rich new habitats for wildlife.
- The Little Details: Even our guest touch points are conscious. We use FSC-certified, recyclable paper for all our menus to minimise our carbon footprint.
A Circular Approach to Waste
At Escapade Silverstone, we prioritise circularity. We operate a total waste management system in partnership with Grundon Services, ensuring that almost nothing goes to landfill.
Where does your waste go?
We make recycling effortless with dedicated bins:
- Food (Grey Bins): Transferred to an Anaerobic Digestion facility where natural microorganisms break down waste into high-quality fertiliser for agriculture or biogas for renewable energy.
- General (Black Bins): Delivered to an Energy from Waste facility and incinerated at 900°C. The resulting heat powers steam turbines to generate electricity for the grid.
- Mixed Recyclables (Green Bins): Transported to a Materials Recovery Facility for segregation and baling, then sent for specialised reprocessing.
- Glass (Brown Bins): Collected and sent to local transfer stations for 100% reprocessing into new glass products.
Our Journey to Net Zero
We aren't stopping here. We are constantly evolving, from transitioning to a fully electric site fleet to piloting on-site food composting.
